Becky Webster De Leo

Having experienced a loss, in which Becky’s loved one was fortunate to die in dignity within the care of a hospice, she will never forget the feeling when they walked through the doors; the load of grief, uncertainty and sadness was lifted even just a little by the atmosphere and full-service facility.  It was a bright and beautiful facility, very similar to the proposed plan for Jessica's House that provided all the amenities of home, with  loving compassionate care and support from the staff and amazing volunteers.  The facility was full service, helping at every stage with programs and services that extend through the bereavement experience.    Every region, city and town should really be equipped with such a needed centre to help navigate the last stages of life with medical services, dignity, care and respect.

Becky is a ceramic artist, with a studio in Kitchener, and she sees it as an honour to help support Jessica's House. Donating a piece of art that she hand made is really a very small gesture, and she hopes it will help bring such a great facility to the area. Her mother grew up in the Hensall /Exeter area, and she has many many fond memories as a child visiting her grandmother; it is such a great community.
