Bonnie Hogarth Sitter

After retiring from forty-plus years in the travel industry, Bonnie became interested in photography and started exploring Huron County. Her love of canoeing, hiking, cycling, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing has lead her to trails and rivers to photograph nature in all the seasons.

This hobby led Bonnie into a joint project with two other photographers and the publishing, in 2013, of a very successful coffee table book: The Beauty and Bounty of Huron County.
A second coffee table book, Agriculture Today:  A Portrait of Family Farms in Ontario, was launched in March 2017. This too was a joint venture of which Bonnie was delighted to be a part.

Bonnie attended school in Exeter, and after living in Deep River, in the Ottawa Valley, she returned to Exeter 31 years ago.

The MacNaughton-Morrison Trail is a big part of her life, and she is delighted to share what she has seen and photographed on the trail. The title, Wish You Were Here,  is a comment that people used to write on post cards when they were enjoying a destination and wanted to share it with friends and family.

The theme “All Things Bright and Beautiful” sparked Bonnie to produce a very special, limited edition book of over eighty of her favourite photographs taken on the Trail.
